This Chicago recording studio has sustained the transformation from analog to digital and we are passionate about our craft. With more than 30 years’ experience, owner and head engineer Sam has worked with some of the best artists emerging from the Chicago Music scene. Hours Of Operation

24/7, must send deposit to set up session. No walk-ins

Smoking/Extra People

To smoke in control room/booth during the sesssion there is a $50 smoking charge

We have a room behind the booth where you can smoke for free

$10 a head after the 5th person.

I first called 2020 about having a “studio time” birthday party for my daughter. Sam was really professional and patient with answering my gazillion questions. Unfortunately, due to COVID19 we decided not to have the party. However, I did still book Studio 2020 as a birthday present for my daughter, Lauren Balieux. I was really impressed with the  customer service, layout and cleanliness. Not to mention, the sound quality was superb! Sam and the engineers were friendly and their work excellent. I have been fortunate enough to tour all over the States and visit quite a few studios and Studio2020 is one of the best anywhere. Not only is the equipment top of the line but more importantly the professionalism of the owner Sam and everyone at the studio is unmatched. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting thus allowing for better flow of creation and communication. After the mixing and mastering the end result is inconceivable leaving you with a product/song that defines the true essence of quality. I recorded my entire first album at Studio 2020 and have worked with Sam on several other projects. Sam mixed and mastered Jennzy_music (IG) "AMAME (NASHVILLE VERSION)" song, produced by Lo-Ki Records (me) and the compliments we got everyone who has listened to it was the production level that was offered by him. Our goal when initially working on this song was to give it a lot of energy and a great vibe to the listener. Sam helped us bring that by offering us his services and the end result was extraordinary. Studio2020 is by far the best studio in the Chicagoland area for artists of all genres. the size of the recording booth makes it very easy for an artist to get comfortable and perform. the building infrastructure is tailor made for acoustics, allowing Studio2020 the ability to provide a one of a kind high quality sound recording. The sound engineers provide a great recording experience. They're hands on with turning artist ideas into reality. I’ve worked with Sam and his team several times (with my band and as a solo artists) and it has been always a wonderful experience. They are very professional and very friendly, so this makes the recording experience even more pleasant. Always on time, always willing to work with you, always caring about your needs.
